Flare

Privacy Policy

Last updated 24 August 2026.

Flare is pre-launch. The service is not yet open to the public and no customer or provider data has been collected. This policy describes what we will collect when the pilot opens.

1. Who we are

Flare is a roadside and local-services marketplace operated by Vaynu Osuri as a sole proprietor, pending incorporation. Contact: support@flarehelp.com.

2. What we collect

We collect only what is needed to connect someone who needs help with a provider who can give it:

We do not collect payment details. Payment for the pilot happens directly between you and the provider, off the platform. We never see a card number.

3. Why we collect it

To verify who you are at sign-in, to show your request to nearby providers, to let you receive and accept quotes, to keep a record of the job, and to prevent abuse of the service. We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it.

4. Messaging, and your mobile number

We send you text or WhatsApp messages for two reasons only: your one-time sign-in code, and updates about a job you are part of. Message frequency depends on your activity. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to opt out of messages at any time, or HELP for help. Opting out of job messages may prevent us from providing the service, since it is how a provider reaches you.

We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or your consent to be messaged with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is shared only with the messaging carriers needed to deliver a message to you, and with the provider you are matched with, so they can reach you about your job.

5. Who else touches your data

We use a small number of service providers to run Flare: Supabase for the database and sign-in, Vercel for hosting, Twilio for messaging, Google Maps for mapping and addresses, and a push-notification service. They process data on our instructions.

6. Where your data is stored

Our database is hosted in Canada. Flare operates in India, Canada and the United States from one system, which means that if you are in India or the United States, your information is stored in Canada and handled by service providers that may process it elsewhere.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as needed for the purposes above, and to meet legal and accounting obligations. We are finalising specific retention periods before the pilot opens and will state them here. If you want your data removed sooner, write to us and we will action it.

8. Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to support@flarehelp.com and a person will handle it. We are a small team and handle these by hand, so please allow us a few days.

9. Children

Flare is not intended for anyone under 18.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant we will tell you directly.
